It’s Fall Y’all!

Fall season has hit the area in full force. Leaves are changing, decorations are out of storage, and families are looking to spend free time at pumpkin patches searching for the perfect candidates for their jack-o-lantern, porch decorations, and pie recipes.

Grocery stores and markets are stocked full of pumpkins this time of the year, but where’s the fun and family time in that? Local pumpkin patches are full of pumpkins right off the vine, apple cider, gourds for decorating, hayrides, and corn mazes perfect for every family. 

Four Great Locations in the Area Are:

Thies Farm and Greenhouses: Pumpkinland

Open until October 31st at 4215 N. Hanley Rd. and a new location at 3200 Greens Bottom Road, St. Charles, MO 63304

Location hours: Tuesday-Friday 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Saturday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Pumpkinland offers pumpkins for picking and decorating, farm animals, mazes, wagon rides, and concessions. Mini putt-putt golf and a garden railroad track are available at the St. Charles location.

Stuckmeyer’s Farm Market and Greenhouse: Halloween Farm Fun Days

249 Schneider Drive, Fenton, MO 63026

Location Hours: Monday through Friday: 9 am to 6 pm, Saturday and Sunday: 9 am to 5 pm

Halloween Farm Fun Days are open every weekend in October for U-pick pumpkins, hayrides, farm animals, pony rides, and inflatables. You can also enjoy hot dogs, kettle corn, caramel apples, and more.

Fort Spooky, hayrides, and pumpkin picking are offered on weekdays if you cannot make it during the weekend. 

Brookdale Farms

8004 Twin Rivers Road, Eureka, MO 63025

Admission is $6 for kids 4–11; $9 for ages 12 and over; children under 3 get in free. 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Wed–Sun. Haunted attractions run Fridays and Saturdays, 7 p.m. – midnight. 

During the day, spend time with family enjoying the corn maze, pumpkin picking, wagon rides, and a petting zoo. At night, however, Brookdale Farms turns into a terrifying and haunted attraction for those looking for a good scare this Halloween season. Guests can travel on a haunted hayride, test their paintball skills in a Haunted Paintball challenge, and tour Red’s Corn Maze Massacre. 

Pumpkins Galore

26415 South Stringtown Road, Wright City, MO 63390

Location Hours: Pumpkins Galore is open everyday from 9 am to 6 pm

Family owned and operated, Pumpkins Galore offers many attractions for the whole family. Enjoy live music as you paint pumpkins and build scarecrows. Children can enjoy pony rides, feeding the goats, bouncing on the giant inflatable mat, and climbing through the hay maze. Test your accuracy at the Punkin Chuckin’ Pumpkin Cannon.
